

Honest Card is switching to Visa
Effective 1 January 2026, Honest is partnering with Visa as the selected principal for Honest Credit and Mastercard Cards. Accordingly, existing Honest Credit Cards currently bearing Mastercard will be replaced with cards bearing the Visa logo.

Why is Honest switching from Mastercard to Visa?
Honest is transitioning to Visa to offer greater global usability, stronger security, and more innovative features.
Will all users move to Visa?
Yes. All Honest Card users will switch to Visa cards starting January 1, 2026.
Will all users move to Visa?
We will send your new Visa card to your confirmed address within the next few weeks. You will receive a notification once the card is shipped.
Are there any changes in the Honest app?
No major changes. You will simply see your new Visa card appear once it has been issued.
What will happen to my old Mastercard?
Your old Mastercard can still be used for online and offline transactions until your new Visa card is issued. After that, the Mastercard will no longer work.
Will I receive a new physical card?
Yes, you will receive a new physical Honest Card with the Visa logo.
Will my card number change?
Yes. Your new Visa card will have a different card number, CVV, and expiration date.
What if I don’t have a physical card?
You can still use Honest for online shopping or Tap-to-Pay for offline transactions. Make sure to update your payment details on your favorite e-commerce platforms. You can also request a physical card through the app menu.
When does my Mastercard expire?
Your Mastercard will remain valid until your new Visa card is issued and activated. After that, your Mastercard will be automatically deactivated.
How do I request or activate my new Visa card?
You can confirm your address so we can process the delivery of your new Visa card. After the card arrives, you can activate it by scanning the QR code included in the package.
How long is the delivery time for the Visa card?
The Visa card will be shipped within a few weeks to your confirmed address. You will receive a notification when it is on the way.
What should I do if my address has changed?
Update your address in the app as soon as possible to ensure your card is delivered to the correct location.
How do I use the Visa card?
Use your new Visa card number for online purchases. For offline transactions, you can use Tap-to-Pay or the physical card once it arrives.
Will my transactions be affected during the transition?
No. You can continue to transact normally using your Mastercard until the Visa card is issued.
Will my installments or billing change after switching to Visa?
No. Your installments, billing, and payment history remain unchanged.
Do I need to update my payment details after switching cards?
Yes. Update your new card details on any websites or apps where your payment information is stored, to avoid failed payments. Your Visa card will have a new number, CVV, and expiration date.
Will Tap-to-Pay still work?
Tap-to-Pay with Visa will be temporarily unavailable during a three-month transition period. The feature will return once the transition is complete.
Can the new Visa card be used internationally?
Yes. Visa is accepted worldwide and works for online and international transactions without issues.
Will foreign transaction fees remain the same?
Yes. You can continue making international transactions using your Visa card, which is accepted globally.
Will my billing cycle this month change?
No. Your bill remains the same and will not be affected by the transition from Mastercard to Visa.
Will Honest benefits change after switching to Visa?
No. All Honest benefits remain the same. Check the promo here.
Will my points be affected by this change?
No. Your Honest Points remain unchanged and will continue to accumulate with the new Visa card.
